Happy List #14

Happy List #14

I feel like I start this weekly post the same way ….but honestly what a week! I know there are lots to be happy about but with a sick child seeping next to me and after another night of not a lot of sleep due to my cough I am feeling a little woe is me….. however hopefully by the end of this post I will be thinking of the positives and smiling!

  • We had a nice relaxing weekend, managed to get some Christmas shopping done and I have been wrapping presents which I am pretty proud about.
  • We completed Harri’s school application for next year in. It doesn’t have to be submitted until January but I know life is so busy and with another baby on the way I was worried we would forget to do it – imagine my poor second born child would be scarred for life!
  • I finished work – whoop whoop! I am just so happy and my house also looks like a florist.
  • I am home looking after my Harri – I hate it when my girls are sick but I feel so blessed that when they are I don’t have to frantically call grandparents or reschedule diaries I can (most of the time) drop everything  and be with them. I know a lot of parents cant do this and even on the days when we have been housebound all week and watching Peppa pig on repeat I still feel incredibly lucky.
  • I got new boots, only cheap ones from Primark but I was struggling with footwear as it was getting a little cold for my converse and my other boots are too high to wear so I bought some new ones just to see me over the next few months when it is cold and wet and I feel so much nicer in them – its the little things isn’t it.

So that’s my week – lots of good things and one week closer to meeting my new baby.

What has made you happy this week?

  1. Congratulations on the end of work! Such a huge milestone! Sorry to hear Harri’s been ill, and you too – we’ve had a lot of illness lately too, but in a way it’s been lovely to have some quiet days where we’ve just snuggled, even if we have watched far more tv than I’d like! #happydays

  2. Oh I’m sorry they’re poorly but yey for happy things and finishing work! I’m so impressed that you’re getting ready for Christmas already, you put me to shame! You’re looking amazing by the way.

  3. Yay for maternity! I love flowers. Hope your not too poorly and recover quick. I bought a coat today, first thing I bought in a loong time. #happydays

  4. Lovely positive post 🙂 I have basically all of my present buying sorted but need to empty out the loft to see what extras like wrapping paper and ribbon I need. Sounds like you had a great week #MarvMondays

  5. Definitely a bonus that you get to be at home and look after the little ones when they are sick – after having to take an unexpected day of work to look after Alfie last week, it was a bit of a pain. Yay to finishing work! Such a lovely time to be off work and get excited for your new arrival – hopefully you won’t be waiting too long #MarvMondays

  6. I’m impressed you’ve wrapped presents! Actually the year I had Lils (Dec baby) I had everything ready by November as I knew I’d be busy. Never been as organised since though haha! Thank you for joining in #HappyDaysLinky xx

  7. Aww poor Harri! I hope she is feeling better now. Despite everything it sounds like you had a pretty good week – new boots and christmas present wrapping is pretty good going, and yay for the start of maternity leave! Lovely happy list as always 🙂 Thanks for sharing it on #MarvMondays
